The lone worker unit is carried by the mobile worker, usually on a belt clip. It can be activated manually to report a panic situation. Additionally, it will report any situation where the mobile worker is in a horizontal position for more than a preset time, if, for example, the worker has fallen. The alarm trigger can be sent to designated recipients, which may be one or all of the following: 24hr Systems Operations Centre, line manager, fleet manager, or office PC.
